Recently I put a few rolls of Ilford PAN 400 through my Hasselblad Xpan.
After developing them at the Stills darkroom in Edinburgh's old town the results startled me. Their dramatic high contrast and tangible grain was a smack in the face - why have I not been doing this the whole time?
Red (the pony) in the morning mist above exemplifies it rather well. I shall be experimenting with underdeveloping and overexposing the next few rolls. Particularly as I've just ordered myself a whole roll of Kodak Tri-X.
I could go on but this guy sums it up nicely.
